Pas 2 medaljeve të Argjendta në Lojrat Olimpike Londër 2012, Mireia Belmonte Garcia u bë notarja e parë spanjolle që fiton një medalje të Artë në një Olimpiadë. 25-vjecarja nga Barcelona shkëlqeu në disiplinën 200 metra stil flutur duke bërë të sajën medaljen e Artë që ishte e para për të në një Olimpiadë. Me kohën 2 minuta 4 sekonda e 85 të qindat Belmonte la pas australianen Madeline Groves që u mjaftua me medaljen e Argjendtë dhe japonezen Natsumi Hoshi që fitoi medaljen e Bronztë duke mundur në metrat e fundit të garës amerikanen Cammile Adams. Pas medaljes së Bronzit në garën e 400 metrave stil i përzier, Miriea Belmonte fitoi arin e saj të parë në këto Lojra Olimpike duke hyrë në histori.
Medalja e parë e Artë në një Olimpiadë për Kazakistanit vjen në sportin e notit. Dymitri Baladin me kohën 2 minuta 7 sekonda e 46 të qindat triumfoi në disiplinën 200 metra stil bretkosë duke hyrë në histori si sportisti i parë kazak që fiton një medalje të Artë në Lojrat Olimpike. Josh Prenot i Shteteve të Bashkuara të Amerikës u pozicionua i dyti në garën e 200 metrave stil bretkosë për meshkuj duke fituar medaljen e Argjendtë ndërsa medalja e Bronztë shkoi për rusin Anton Chupkov.
Në 100 metra stil i lirë për meshkuj triumfoi 18-vjecari australian Kyle Chalmers i cili u tregua thjeshtë fantastik duke e mbyllur garën me kohën 47 sekonda e 90 të qindat duke vendosur edhe një rekord personal. Pas australianit Kyle Chalmers u pozicionuan me rradhë belgu Timmers që fitoi medaljen e Argjendtë dhe amerikani Nathan Adrian që bëri të tijën medaljen e Bronztë.
Për të mbetur te sportet ujorë britaniku Joseph Clarke fitoi medaljen e Artë në garën slalolomit me kanoe duke u bërë britaniku i dytë në histori që realizon dicka të tillë. Me kohën 88 sekonda e 53 të qindat Clark la pas me 17 të qindat e sekondës sllovenin Peter Kuazer që fitoi medaljen e Argjendtë. I treti në këtë disiplinë u rendit kampioni i Botës në fuqi i slalomit me kanoe sportisti cek Jiri Prskavec.
