Kanë kaluar 25 vjet qëkur futbollistët e Kosovës u rebeluan kundër Jugosllavisë udhëheqëse dhe më në fund vendi i vogël nga Ballkani po del nga shkretëtira sportive për kampanjën e saj të parë të Kupës së Botës.

Aventura e Kupës së Botës për Kosovën nis të hënën në Finlandë, por seleksionuesi Albert Bunjaki është i pasigurt nëse të gjithë ata që i ka zgjedhur në një skuadër prej 25 lojtarëve do të kenë të drejtë të luajnë. Disa janë ende në pritje të lejes nga FIFA për të luajtur.

Problemi është se ata luajnë për përfaqësuese tjera, vendet që i kanë pranuar familjet e tyre kur 900 mijë shqiptarë të Kosovës janë shpërngulur nga lufta. Shumë janë vendosur në Zvicër dhe Skandinavi. Të tjerët, si vëllai i madh i Xhakës, Taulanti, përfaqësojnë Shqipërinë. Këto përfaqësuese nuk janë të interesuara të humbasin lojtarët e tyre.
Shaqiri kishte shfaqur interesim për të luajtur, veçanërisht kur aloja e Stoke Cityt nuk ishte marrë parasysh për t’u futur në listën e kapitenëve të Zvicrës para Evropianit 2016. Granit Xhaka i Arsenalit nuk dha sinjale të tilla, por u ndje i obliguar të lëshojë një komunikatë javën e kaluar, pasi ishte quajtur tradhtar nga disa në vendin e tij Kosovë. Ai tha se FIFA ia ka ndaluar të luajë për Kosovën, pasi që kishte luajtur për Zvicrën në Evropianin 2016, pasi që Kosova u pranua nga FIFA. FIFA refuzon të flasë për rastet individuale.
“Ne jemi me fat. Kemi lojtarë të mirë të rinj dhe strategjia jonë është të ndërtojmë një skuadër për gjashtë apo tetë vitet e ardhshme, e jo vetëm për këtë kampanjë eliminatore”, ka thënë Salihu.
Salihu dhe Bunjaki po luanin për Prishtinën në shtator të vitit 1991, kur lojtarët vendosën të rebelohen dhe të largohen nga liga jugosllave. Policia shpesh pengonte ndeshjet e lojtarëve, ndeshje që u bënë emblemë e shpirtit të pavarur të Kosovës, derisa Federata e Futbollit të Jugosllavisë nuk lëshonte dokumente regjistrimi për të lënë lojtarët të lëvizin jashtë vendit.
Kur himni të intonohet të hënën në Turku të Finlandës, imazhe të tilla do t’i kthehen në mendje Salihut, Bunjakit dhe presidentit të Federatës së Futbollit të Kosovës, Fadil Vokrri, lojtarit më të madh të Kosovës.
Vendi mund të festojë edhe një fitore në kërkim për njohje. Pavarësisht rezultatit po ndërtohet një e ardhme e futbollit në këtë vend.
