Sipas sondazheve të “Politico”-s, Trump ka rreth 43.4 për qind të mbështetjes mes atyre me të drejtë vote, ndërsa Clinton vetëm 41.2 për qind. Trump po përpiqet të mbledhë pas vetes republikanët anembanë shtetit, pavarësisht se guvernatori John Kasich nuk e ka miratuar kandidaturën republikane, kjo edhe për shkak se ndaj tij rivalizoi gjatë të ashtuquajturave primare.
Obama ka rezultuar triumfator në Ohio, qoftë në mandatin e tij të parë të vitit 2008, ashtu edhe në rizgjedhjen e tij në vitin 2012.
James shkroi gjithashtu se Clinton “do të pasojë trashëgiminë e mikut tim më të mirë, Presidentit Barack Obama”. “Besoj tek ajo që ka bërë Presidenti Obama për vendin tonë, ndaj dhe e mbështes angazhimin e Clintonit për vazhdimin e trashëgimisë së tij”, deklaroi basketbollisti.
