Deri pak kohë më parë, Miralem Pjanic ishte një lojtar i rëndësishëm në mesfushën e Juventus, por rraskapitej dhe nuk kishte shumë efikasitet. Ai nuk kishte në krah një lojtar, i cili mund ta dublonte, pra ta ndihmonte nga pas.
Me ardhjen e Blaise Matuidi ka ndryshuar edhe fizionomia e lojës së Juves, edhe lëvizjet në mesfushë të Pjanic. Boshnjaku tani është më i lirë dhe mund të zbërthejë kreativitetin e tij. Tri ndeshje dhe ai e Matuidi kuptohen në perfeksion. Nuk është vetëm çështje gjuhe (të dy flasin frëngjisht).
“Matuidi mund t’i japë shumë kësaj skuadre, – thotë Medhi Benatia. – Vrapon dhe skarifikon shumë për skuadrën. Bën presion dhe është gjithmonë pas kundërshtarit. Ka kualitetin, që sezonin e shkuar i mungonte Juves. Eshtë e thjeshtë: është i dobishëm dhe i zgjuar. Jam i sigurt se pas një muaji do të japë një intervistë në italisht.”
Matuidi jep garanci para mbrojtjes, bën punën e “pistë” dhe vë Pjanic në kushte më të mira për të mbështetur sulmin. Diçka e përafërt me modulin e lojës së Juventus në kohën e Davids e Zidane. Në sezonin 1997-1998, Zizou luante pas Del Piero e Inzaghi, me modulin 4-3-1-2. Zidane donte të lëvizte në gjithë fushën dhe e bënte falë Davids, që i rrinte gjithmonë pranë për ta nxjerrë nga telashet. Matuidi është si Davids dhe Pjanic si Zidane.
Boshnjaku niset nga pas, por i pëlqen të penetrojë sapo t’i jepet rasti për t’u afruar me portën. Falë mbrojtjes së Matuidi, Pjanic bën më mirë regjinë e lojës. “Ka mësuar të luajë në thellësi, – tha për të Allegri —, dhe i jep mundësinë të jetë më pak i markuar. Kështu ka avantazhe, luan më pak topa të “vdekur” dhe kjo i jep avantazh skuadrës. Eshtë i zoti të lexojë lojën dhe të vertikalizojë topat”.
