Felippe Massa do të zhvillojë këtë fundjavë garën e fundit në shtëpinë e tij, Brazil, teksa në fund të sezonit do të tërhiqet përfundimisht nga Formula 1.

Massa ka mundur ta fitojë 2 herë Çmimin e Madh të Brazilit, në vitin 2006 dhe 2008 me Ferrari. 3 herë ka vendosur pole position por me Ferrarin dhe është ngjitur 5 herë në podium, nga këto vetëm 1 herë me Williams.

Massa në botën e Formula 1 njihet si tipi i pilotit të dytë, fillimisht pas Heidfeld, Fisichella, Villeneuve, e më së shumti nën hijen e Schumacher, e disa vite më vonë edhe Alonson. Edhe në momentin kur ai ishte shumë pranë shpalljes kampion bote, në vitin 2008, nuk tregoi qetësinë e duhur duke e humbur kampionatin vetëm për 1 pikë.

Viti 2008 është më i miri në karrierën tij, pasi arriti të fitonte plot 6 gara, 6 pole position dhe grumbulloi 97 pikë. Në vitin 2009, në Çmimin e Madh të Hungarisë pësoi një aksident, teksa një pjesë e shkëputur nga makina e brazilianit tjetër Barrichello e goditi në kokë.

Massa është në 10 pilotët me më shumë Çmime të Mëdha në Formula 1, teksa ka kaluar numrin e 250 garave të zhvilluara. Në karrierën e tij ka patur 9 shokë skuadre të ndryshëm, 4 prej të cilëve kampione bote.

Sauber, Ferrari dhe Williams kanë qene makinat që ka pilotuar në këto vite. 11 gara në total të fituara, 16 pole position, 15 xhiro të shpejta, 41 podiume dhe 1122 në 14 sezonet e tij në Formula 1.
