Përgatitjet e përfaqësueses së Kosovës në basketboll po shkojnë më ritëm të mirë para ndeshjeve të shumta miqësore që e presin gjatë muajit gusht, e sidomos para ndeshjeve kualfikuese për Eurobasket 2017 që nis në fillim të muajit shtator, me ç.rast Kosova është në një grup me Slloveninë, Bullgarinë dhe Ukrainën.
Përzgjedhësi Arben Krasniqi po punon intenzivisht dhe gati çdo ditë me lojtarët e tij që i ka në dispozicion, duke mos harruar edhe amerikanët Shawn Jones dhe Justin Doellman të cilët pa asnjë dyshim do të jenë përforcime të mëdha në këtë ndeshje.
Ai është shprehur i kënaqur me rrjedhën e përgatitjeve, por edhe me basketbollistët që i ka në dispozicion.
“Tashmë grumbullimit të Kombëtares i janë bashkangjitur edhe Jones dhe Doellman. Bëhet fjalë për lojtarë të klasit botëror. Unë pres që ata shumë shpejt të komponohen me pjesën tjetër të ekipit. Sa i përket përgatitjeve gjithçka ka shkuar sipas planit të paraparë dhe tashmë presim që javën e ardhshme të fillojmë më ndeshjet miqësore, ku ne shtabi teknik do të kemi rastin t’i shohim lojtarët, por edhe ekipin në tërësi se si po funksionojnë së bashku. Janë në pyetje rreth 10 ndeshje miqësore me kundërshtarë mjaft të fortë. Jemi optimistë se do të vazhdojmë me këtë ritëm dhe me këtë frymë pozitive deri në start të kualifikimeve historike për Kosovën”, ka deklaruar Krasniqi për faqen zyrtare të Federatës së Basketbollit të Kosovës.
Kosova ndeshjen e parë në kuadër të kualifikimeve për Kampionatin Evropian do ta luaj kundër Sllovenisë si mysafire më 31 gusht. Ndërkaq ndeshjen e dytë Kosova do ta luaj si nikoqire më 3 shtator kundër Ukrainës, kurse më 7 shtator është mysafire e Bullgarisë, derisa më 10 shtator e pret Slloveninë, pastaj udhëton në Ukrainë më 14 shtator dhe ndeshjen e gjashtë e të fundit në kuadër të këtyre kualifikimeve do ta zhvilloj si nikoqire më 17 shtator ndaj Bullgarisë.
