Në vitet e para të karrierës së tij në Formula 1 konsiderohej një nga talentet e së ardhmes por dalëngadalë fama e tij u venit për shkak të tekave dhe karakterit të vështirë. Robert Kubica rishfaqet pas një shkëputje të gjatë nga Formula 1, e diktuar edhe nga problemet fizike për shkak të një aksidenti të rëndë në garat Rally. Gjithsesi, polaku duket se ka ndryshuar mendje dhe tashmë mendon një rikthim në sportin që e bëri të famshëm. Nuk ngjitej në një makinë njëvendëshe që prej 6 vitesh por javën e shkuar ai ishte i pranishëm në disa teste me makinat e kategorisë GP3.
Në intervistën dhënë për mediat ai kërkoi më shumë kohë për të rifituar reflekset dhe formën fizike duke shtuar se ka ende shumë gjëra për të përmirësuar por shpreson të jetë gati shumë shpejt dhe me një kontratë në tryezën e tij. “Nuk kam thënë asnjëherë që nuk dua të rikthehem. Nuk e di çfarë do të ndodhë sepse Formula 1 ëshë një sport ekstrem. Nuk e di se sa është numri i pilotëve që brenda 15 viteve kanë debutuar dy herë, ndoshta shumë pak por nëse do të ndodhë, për mua do të ishte një debutim i veçantë”, theksoi polaku. Kubica u largua nga Formula 1 në vitin 2010 as aksidentit të rëndë të pësuar me makinën e garave Rally duke hequr dorë nga karriera në sportin më spektakolar të motorëve.
