Donis Avdijaj është një talent i padiskutueshëm i futbollit gjerman, ndërsa si drejtues atomjeti lë për të dëshiruar. 20-vjecari i Schalkes ka sërish probleme me policinë gjermane, pasi është përfshirë sërish në aksidente automobilistike. Sipas autoriteve në Osnabryk, ku jeton futbollisti, më 3 tetor Avdijaj nuk ka respektuar sinjalistikën, duke kaluar semaforin me të kuqe, veprim që ka rrezikuar seriozisht jetën e një personi që po udhëtonte me bicikletë.
Dhe sikur të mos mjaftonte ky rast, Avdijaj ka dëmtuar një automjet tjetër gjatë parkimit, dhe c’është më e keqja nuk ka njoftuar për dëmin që ka bërë.

Për Avdijajn kanë shfaqur interes klube të mëdha në Europë, cka e detyroi “blutë” mbretërorë të përfshinin në kontratën e tij një klauzolë largimi që shkon thuajse 50 milionë euro.
