Vetëm vazoja e tretë për Napolin e Romën, Tottenhamin e Liverpoolin, Bazelin, Beshiktashin, Olympiacosin e Hasit dhe Anderlechtin e drejtuar më herët prej tij. Në vazon e katërt bënin pjesë ekipet e ardhura nga faza “play off”, si Celtic, CSKA e Moskës, Sporting, APOEL, Feyenoord, Maribor, Karabagu i Agollit dhe Leipzig.
